The Sainsbury’s Talbot Green development was a brand-new supermarket scheme designed to serve the growing local community.
The project comprised the construction of a new retail building alongside a fully integrated car park, petrol filling station, and electric vehicle (EV) charging bays - all delivered as one coordinated package. The scheme was developed to meet Sainsbury’s modern retail and sustainability standards, with a focus on efficiency, accessibility, and customer convenience.

Developed by DMWR's sister company CHQ Architects, we were responsible for delivering RIBA Stages 4–6, taking the project from technical design through to completion and handover. This included managing detailed design coordination, procurement support, and on-site delivery for the main store and associated external works.
Our team worked closely with the client, design consultants, and contractors to ensure consistency across all aspects of the development, maintaining high standards of quality, cost control, and programme management throughout the process.
The project was successfully completed and handed over on time, providing a high-quality, energy-efficient supermarket that enhances the shopping experience for the local community.
The inclusion of EV charging bays and a modern petrol filling station supports Sainsbury’s commitment to sustainable transport and reduces the site’s environmental footprint. The completed development stands as a key retail
destination for Talbot Green, delivering long-term value for both the client and the community.
