DMWR Architects has submitted a planning application for a pioneering new waste-to-hydrogen facility at Manston, Kent: a major milestone in clean energy innovation.
Set on a 16‑acre site, the proposals have been carefully designed to protect and enhance local landscapes while also meeting and exceeding all safety requirements. We have been working closely with a full team of consultants to ensure that the scheme delivers the highest quality, including a BREEAM Excellent rating. DMWR is proud to have collaborated with Hydrogen TE in developing the scheme for the facility, innovation centre, and supporting landscape.
As the UK continues to face significant energy challenges, the need for secure, reliable, and domestically produced energy has never been more critical. Hydrogen has a vital role to play in strengthening energy security and supporting long‑term self‑sufficiency, and this project is designed to contribute meaningfully to that transition.
Reaching this stage represents a significant achievement. We now look forward to progressing the project and realising its full potential.
