Richard Daw

Richard is an ARB registered Architect, a RIBA member and Director, with over 25 years of experience, having worked on projects across the residential, workplace, commercial and education sectors. In recent years, he has focussed on high-rise residential developments, particularly within the Build-to-Rent (BTR) sector, bringing several high-profile schemes through planning and delivery. Notable recent projects include an influential development in Trafford, Manchester, with two high-rise BTR apartment towers, alongside a PBSA scheme and academic University facilities. This follows other residential schemes in London, Cardiff and Leeds for significant clients. Richard has an in-depth knowledge of the BtR sector, with a focus on both capital and operational considerations, and brings an informed understanding of the market to the business.

He also brings extensive experience in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), in particular Volumetric design and construction, and is an advocate of blending construction techniques to achieve maximum efficiencies, buildability and viability. Throughout his career he has worked across all RIBA Stages, with experience of leading multidisciplinary teams, designing and delivering projects from concept to completion. His strong interpersonal skills contribute to effective collaboration, delivering for his clients, and maximising efficiencies. Richard enjoys shaping high performing teams through clear design leadership, hands on coaching and mentoring and a commitment to developing emerging talent. He builds supportive studio cultures.
