We are delighted to celebrate the well‑deserved promotions of several fantastic team members across DMWR and our sister company, CHQ Architects. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence continue to shape the success of our studios, and we’re incredibly proud to recognise their achievements.
DMWR Promotions
Margherita Bastianelli — Associate Director
Margherita steps into her new role as Associate Director after over five years at DMWR. She first joined the studio in 2020 as a Part II Architectural Assistant, having completed her Part I role between 2017 and 2019. Her progression reflects continued contribution to key clients and high profile projects.
Kit Cope — Associate Director
Kit has been promoted to Associate Director after more than six years with DMWR. He originally joined as a Part II Architectural Assistant and has consistently contributed to the practice’s growth. Kit also gained valuable experience at our sister company, CHQ Architects, where he previously worked as both a Part I and Part II Architectural Assistant. Kit works on key design projects for several of our serial blue chip clients.
Gemma Copp — Associate
Gemma has been promoted to Associate after joining DMWR as a Project Architect in 2024. Her commitment to efficient, timely project delivery has already made a notable impact. As well as her networking and business development attributes.
Velina Drakalieva — Associate
Velina has been promoted to Associate after joining DMWR in 2024 as an Architectural Technologist. Her technical expertise and collaborative approach have already made a significant impact with clients and within the Team.
CHQ Architects Promotions
We are also thrilled to recognise two promotions at CHQ Architects.
Jackie Spinks — Senior Director
After an incredible 37 years with CHQ Architects, Jackie has been promoted to Senior Director. Her longstanding commitment, experience, and influence within the practice are truly invaluable.
Simon Bartle — Associate Director
Simon has been promoted to Associate Director, having joined CHQ in 2022 as a Project Architect. His dedication and leadership have been key to the Studio’s continued success and repeat business.
These promotions highlight the exceptional talent within both DMWR and CHQ Architects. We are very proud of everything these individuals have achieved and excited to see the future impact they’ll continue to make in their new roles.
