Creating places with a client-centric approach, enthusiasm and lateral thinking since 1963. Delivering pragmatic and quality solutions across our 8 sectors of expertise. We are a diverse family of over 65 experienced employees, forging lasting relations with our multinational clients.
Formed originally by Douglas Haig Marriott, Leonard Phillip Worby and Derek Leonard Robinson, we are now a well established practice achieving successful design through BIM.
THE PRACTICE
Since 1963 DMWR Architects have been delivering pragmatic and quality architecture, now based over three offices in London, Manchester and Hertfordshire.
The experience of the practice extends across 8 sectors of expertise including, but not limited to, student accommodation, aviation, industrial and residential. Thus, however complex the idea, DMWR focus on achieving simplicity whilst being mindful of cost and time to suit the Client’s requirements.
The Practice has successfully delivered projects spanning RIBA workstages 1-7, working under clients and contractors, collaborating with consultants on a daily basis. The offices in London, Manchester and Baldock have the capacity to deliver projects up to £100 million in value across the UK and abroad and carry £10 million Professional Indemnity Insurance.
DMWR Architects is a diverse family of over 55 architects, technicians and administrative staff who have extensive experience across a range of sectors. The company is used to performing the role of Lead Architect in both the United Kingdom and Internationally. DMWR take on projects with a client-centric approach, enthusiasm and lateral thinking.
DMWR Architects and it’s parent company, the CHQ Group, are proud to be members of the RIBA and ARB but have also received accreditation from SafeContractor and Constructionline; have received CyberEssentials Plus security endorsement; are members of the Self Storage Association and are a Student Mentoring Practice supporting the next generation of architects.
WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH BIM
DMWR are experienced at working within a collaborative BIM environment using Autodesk Revit as our default design software. We are able to perform as BIM leader, leading multiple disciplines with the use of Naviswork, issuing clash detection reports and identifying coordination issues early in the design stage to avoid costly on-site remedial work.
Over time, DMWR has been able to hone its architectural services that match those which are demanded by successful property developers. Over the last 5 years the practice has been able to take the lead in BIM projects to become Architect Lead Designer and BIM Coordinator.
The provision of these services allows us to give greater support to our Contractor clients and allow us to co-ordinate the BIM output of the design team and provide BIM Level 2 modelling information as part of the project deliverables. DMWR are as comfortable working with existing or new model information as we are with point cloud surveys or base Autocad information.
